See the beautiful Alabama mountains from horseback! Spend the day riding well mannered, ranch horses along mountain trails, across rolling meadows and past amazing scenery in this pristine area. This is an outing on which you're likely to see wildlife and learn about the local flora and history from experienced, personable guides. Seasoned riders, as well as the novice are welcome.


Big Spring Park

Big Spring Park is named after an underground spring, named by the indigenous Cherokee and Chickasaw "The Big Spring." John Hunt, Huntsville's founder, sought out the spring and settled near it in 1805. T
he park prominently features gifts given to the city of Huntsville by other countries and foreign nationals. Some of these gifts include a 1903 light beacon,  a 1929 fog bell given by Norway in 1973, and the iconic red Japanese bridge and cherry trees, given by Japanese Major General Mikio Kimat.

Home to the Madison County Nature Trail, this is a beautiful, seventy-two acre park which is home to Skye Lake, a scenic covered bridge, two miles of walking trails, picnic areas, and wild life. The Nature Trail is a favorite of locals, and also a very popular setting for weddings and other family gatherings.

Harmony Park

Harmony Park is a federally licensed nature preserve that features free-range exotic and endangered animals. Visitors experience zebras, antelopes, buffalo, a camel, ostriches, a python and crocodiles from the comfort of their car, while driving through the two-mile route through the park.

Southern Adventures offers year round family entertainment at its water and amusement parks. Two adventure golf courses, bumper cars, carnival rides, batting cages, go-carts tracks, a waterpark and a simulated roller coaster ride provide great entertainment for children of all ages!
