The neighborhoods of Hampton Cove and Owens Crossroads comprise a well landscaped community which is situated in the valley between the bases of Green Mountain and Monte Sano.

As one of the more recently developed areas within the city of Huntsville, several neighborhoods in the area are still growing and offer a wide range of affordability in housing. Developed in the 1990's the Hampton Cove subdivision is among the oldest and most beautiful within the community that sprang up around it.

Educational events are regularly scheduled. This park is part of the North Alabama Birding Trail!
