Another extravaganza of Arts, Crafts, Carnivals, Music, and twinkling Christmas lights is always on the horizon here in Huntsville!


Panoply is a celebration of music, dance, theatre, and the visual arts. The festival is located in Big Spring Park (downtown Huntsville) and requires paid admission. Panoply is a program of The Arts Council and is one of the largest festivals in Huntsville, AL.

April 25-27, 2014

WhistleStop is a barbeque-eatin' good time! With barbeque contests, live music and entertainment for children, WhistleStop is a barbeque-eatin' good time!  This festival requires paid admission and is located at the Historic Huntsville Depot in downtown Huntsville. 

This festival is normally held in early May.

Sponsored by the Huntsville Jaycees, the Northeast Alabama State Fair provides the citizens of Huntsville and all of North Alabama with family oriented fun! Filled with carnival rides, games, shows and both domestic and exotic animal exhibits, this is what you always imagined a state fair would be! The State Fair is held off of Airport Rd in south Huntsville. This fair requires paid admission.

The state fair is normally held near the end of August. See photos below!


With authentic, German food and beverages, carnival rides, games and entertainment, Oktoberfest offers fun for all ages. The festival is produced by Army, Morale, Welfare & Recreation and held on the Redstone Arsenal. This fair requires paid admission.

Monte Sano Art Festival

Browse beautiful handmade artwork by local artists and enjoy the natural splendor of the Monte Sano State Park. A wonderful day for families, couples or individuals. This festival is held atop Monte Sano and is free and open to the public!

Always held on the third weekend of September.

ValleyFest offers a wide variety of arts, crafts, live music, great food, dancers, jugglers and hot air balloon rides. The event is held in Jones Farm Park, at the heart of south Huntsville's scenic Jones Valley. 
ValleyFest is produced by SHCA and is free and open to the public!

Presented by the Huntsville Botanical Gardens, the Galaxy of Lights is a holiday light extravaganza. Both walking and driving tours are available on various nights. This event is held at the Huntsville Botanical Garden and requires paid admission.

Always held from Thanksgiving until December 31st.
